Recovery Court University (RCU) is a new program that provides extra support and life skills while you’re in Recovery Court in an online “university-style” setting. The idea is to make learning about important life skills more interesting and different from regular treatment. The goal is to help you stay more engaged and get better results in Recovery Court.
Benefits to participating in RCU:
• participation in a week of RCU counts toward meeting requirements
• upon completion of each course, participants receive a certificate (signed and recognized by the judge)
• with program completion, participants receive a hoodie or T-Shirt, diploma, and valuable life skills that support long-term recovery.
Upon completion of Recovery Court University, it is expected that participants will gain knowledge in the following areas: higher education, job readiness, personal finance, navigating the legal system, health and wellness, medication management, foundations of mental health, healthy relationships, leadership, and understanding personal strengths and weaknesses.
